Concert by Mestisa

On Thursday, March 20, at the York Medical Society, the University of York hosted a concert by Ana Luisa Muñoz and Barbara Kempf, from Mestisa. The band Mestisa is based in Leeds, UK, and they play a great variety of instruments from Latin America, such as the cuatro or the charango. In York, they performed a captivating blend of traditional and popular music from Latin America, showcasing the rich tapestry of the region’s diverse musical landscape.

This activity was organised within the first network event of the MSCA-Doctoral Network “Understanding Latin American Challenges in the 21st Century” (LAC-EU).
